Oct 27th, 2019 - Filtered Variance, 'Sims' and Planck power spectra

The plots below are sanity checks of the filtered variance. I first reproduced (left plot of first row) George's plot (right plot) to make sure that there's nothing wrong with my flux cuts (400mJy for all frequencies). The second (and third) row shows plots comparing the filtered variance and the variance values calculated by binning Websky power spectra (bin width = 128). Thus, Planck power spectra values and the filtered variance for all three frequencies should match as well. This, as Professor Bond mentioned, could be telling us that there may be a discrepancy between Planck and 'sims' for the bispectra as shown in the previous post (https://mocks.cita.utoronto.ca/index.php/Oct_17th,_2019_-_Discrepancies_between_Planck,_SPT,_and_%27Sims%27_Bispectra%3F).
